in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."
but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. we refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. and so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

开展“课前5分钟演讲”活动，精讲多练，逐步培养和提高英语口头表达能力，这是我根据多年的教学实践总结出的较为切实有效的教学方法。
在课堂上，讲正课前，让3-5位同学在讲台上进行演讲，最好是脱稿演讲，效果更为理想。它不仅训练了同学们的英语口头表达能力，增强了记忆，锻炼了大家的胆识，而且对于同学们养成良好的学习习惯，树立起自立、自尊，培养正确的人生观，都有着不可分割的潜移默化的作用，真可谓是一举多得。
刚开始搞这项活动时，同学们大多是针对课本上的有关篇章段落进行演讲。同学们都表演得绘声绘色、生动传神。本来这些文章虽然写得很好很实际，但对刚刚接触不久的同学们来说，还是比较难记难背的。于是在课下，我交代一部分同学演讲时用这些课文做材料，而另一部分未作部署。
结果，事先交代的这部分同学仅仅用了10多分钟便背诵得相当熟了；而另一部分未作部署的同学则用了30多分钟才会背诵。这表明：课前5分钟演讲不仅能够快速而有效地提高英语口头表达能力，而且还能够增强记忆力，提高记忆效果和学习成绩。演讲过的内容，记忆深刻，过去了很长时间，仍然能够记忆犹新，能够背诵。经过一段时间的演讲训练之后，同学们的口头表达能力、语音语调和书面表达能力都有了很大程度的提高；同时，同学们说话时的体态表情、手势也自然大方，不再是脸红、心跳、语无伦次等忸忸怩怩的样子。
后来，我又鼓励同学们到课外英语报刊杂志或上网搜集演讲材料，以更好地培养他们的学习兴趣，提高他们的表达能力和阅读能力。于是同学们找来了大量的英语小短文，如诗歌、寓言、故事，甚至还有科普小品文等等。演讲的内容也更加多样化了。：有的演讲Thetigerandthemonkey,有的演讲Astealerandapoliceman，有的演讲Differentcountriesdifferentweather……内容很是丰富多彩，极大地启迪了同学们的思维，课堂气氛极为活跃，学习效果甚是理想。
演讲的形式讲究多样化：可以由老师随机点名找同学上台演讲，这是基本形式。也可以由台上演讲者点名上台演讲，这是一种比较灵活且效果相当好的方法。还可以把同学们分成左右两排或前后两排或前后左右四队或以组分成多个队排，每个队排分别找若干名同学上台演讲，以演讲比赛的形式，看那个队能够夺魁，摘取桂冠。夺魁的冠军队要掌声鼓励或发给小红旗希望再接再厉，争取更大的胜利。这种演讲形式是最好的形式，演讲时采用这种方法，同学们激情顿起，兴趣高昂，尽头十足，效果出奇的好。
通过课前5分钟演讲，同学们的英语水平增长很快，阅读能力相当强，有力地配合了我的课堂教学。人教版新教材中有很多篇章段落都是以情景对话的形式出现的，有两人或三人甚至更多人进行对话的。不管有多少人的对话，有了同学们的5分钟演讲，同学们的英语水平、会话能力就会提高；有了高水平的会话能力，就能更好、更有力地促进教学工作。在课堂上，我可以随机叫几位同学和我对话，做示范表演，效果相当理想。我的教学工作也相当轻松顺利，能够圆满地达到教学目的，教学效果喜人。许多同学还在各级演讲比赛中获奖了，比赛中同学们流利的口语、准确的语音语调、恰当的表情手势赢得了观众的好评。同时，同学们有了良好的英语基础、高昂的学习英语的兴趣以及广泛的阅读，笔试成绩也是令人满意的，次次测评在平行班中名列前茅，效果极为理想。
总之，通过丰富多彩的课前5分钟表演，不仅能够增强学生学习英语的自信心，调动学生学习的积极性，使学生在轻松愉快的氛围中学习英语，还有助于对学生进行思想品德教育，培养团结互助的精神，促进学生的全面发展。

Today the topic of my impromtu speech is that home is where the heart is. Home is the harbor of both our body and mind. Home is the never ever changed inner sustenance. Many people may say that where there is home, there is heart, but I want to say that where there is heart, there is home. Concerning this saying, I have three points to back me up.
Regarding the first point, if only we have love, and care for the parents sincerely, then home is just there near us. We still can be together if our hearts are connected. The reason why home is so important to us is that there are our beloved parents waiting for us. No matter how far we are away from home, their solicitude is always there. In the same way, whether we are near at hand or far away at the end of the world. Take an ancient Chinese flood-combatting hero-Da Yu for example. At that time, Da Yu was assigned to combat the flood through water control. He passed his home three times, but never went in for a look. Didn’t he want to go in? I don’t think so. I believe he missed his family so much in his heart, but he knew what the more important thing was. Therefore, he put his home in his heart and regulated waters first. Accordingly, we can see that as long as we have a caring heart, home is not distant from us.
Secondly, where there is love and affection in your heart, there is your home. To illustrate, San Mao, a Taiwanese writer, and her husband, Hexi lived in the Sahara Desert happily. Though they lived in the harsh environment and they didn’t have enough food supplies, they were still contented with what they had got. Neither San Mao nor He Xi was the original resident there, but for love in their hearts, they treated there as their home. This fully explained why San Mao finally left the Sahara after He Xi’s death. If love has gone, then the home will not exist any more.
Bringing my arguments to a close, heart is the harbor of home. Only if we are full of love towards our families, home is always there with us no matter how far it is geographically.

Good evening，Ladies and Gentlemen: Thank you very much for choosing to come in such a cold y my topic is about choice and process.A research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one so many choices one day，people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life. In my opinion，the following part is of much more importance than the choice. There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life，which the process makes the difference. Life is a box of chocolate，you never know what you will get.
Forrest Gump made no decision by and for himself but he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process. The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings，the caution，courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles. Take myself as an example，I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice，days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself，I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life.
Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths over，I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect，the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life. NO matter what the choice is，enjoy the process. In the process，your potential will be inspired and new discoveries，improvement and progress will come to you. These are the most beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you see e make your life colorful. There is no need and I donnot want to judge whether it right or wrong for me to be here，but I congratulate to myself for I gain and enjoy this fantastic experience. So my dear friends，never worry about your choice and enjoy the process.

Everyone has their own dreams I am the same. But my dream is not a lawyer not a doctor not actors not even an industry.
Perhaps my dream big people will find it ridiculous but this has been my pursuit! My dream is to want to have a folk life! I want it to become a beautiful painting it is not only sharp colors but also the colors are bleak I do not rule out the painting is part of the black but I will treasure these bleak colors!
Not yet how about a colorful painting if not bleak add color how can it more prominent American? Life is like painting painting the bright red color represents life beautiful happy moments. Painting a bleak color represents life difficult unpleasant time. You may find a flat with a beautiful road is not very good yet but I do not think it will.
If a person lives flat then what is the point? Life is only a short few decades I want it to go Finally Each memory is a solid.
